MCG Data for APA 2015
08 May 2015MCG would in particular like to highlight the extension of the APA to the west in the Barents Sea. Brand new MC2D data covering this area was acquired and broadband processed in 2013 (MCG1301). This modern dataset in a 4 x 4 km grid provides a consistent grid for defining prospects. MCG also has the Barents Well Tie dataset for tying the exploration wells in the APA.
In addition, MCG has two MC2D surveys in the Træna Basin/Nordland Ridge provinces within the Norwegian Sea APA 2015 area. The 2010 survey (MCG1002) in this area was reprocessed in 2012 and merged with the denser 2012 survey (MCG1202). Please see the following announcement for maps, seismic examples and contact details.
